Cravings, morning sickness and weight gain are the usual things that go hand-in-hand with pregnancy.
But not for Melissa Judd, from Indiana.
The 32-year-old was having regular periods and had even lost 15 pounds when she gave birth to her son Jackson.

Happy mother: Melissa Judd with her new baby Jackson that she delivered on her own in the toilet
Surprise: Jackson Judd Smith was born on the toilet after his mother didn’t realise she was pregnant
While she was cleaning her house, Miss Judd said she started to feel unwell, ‘a little crampy’ and like she really had to go to the bathroom.
When she sat on the toilet, she soon realised she was about to become a mother and her instinct took over.
She said: ‘It was amazing how my body took over. I just knew what I had to do and did it. It was survival instinct I guess.
‘You never know how strong you are until you have to face something like that. It was the most excruciating pain I’d ever felt, but it was very quick.
‘I birthed my son and wrapped him in bathroom towels pulled up my pants and walked across the street to my neighbour Keith, who is a medical technician, trailing blood the whole way’, she told the National Enquirer.

Thin: Melissa said she lost 15 pounds while she was pregnant and was just a little heavier than she is now
The whole experience took just 20 minutes, and then the mother-of-two and her boyfriend Nate Smith had a healthy baby boy at five pounds, nine ounces.
Miss Judd said: ‘As soon as he was out, his eyes opened and started looking around, crying. He was purple though, so I was scared to death.’
She wrapped the baby in a towel and went to her neighbour, Keith Bradley, who is an emergency medical technician.
‘I came running to her, and I saw she had a baby in her hands and blood all over her,’ Mr Bradley said. ‘I’m like, “Where’d that come from?”‘
Mr Bradley said the only thing on his mind was that he had to get the umbilical cord clamped off, but he said he didn’t have anything to do it.
Within minutes paramedics arrived and Miss Judd and the baby were taken to an area hospital.
Her boyfriend Nate Smith said he thought it was a joke when he got a call from a 911 dispatcher that his girlfriend just had his baby.
He said: ‘I hung up the phone on him. But I was pretty confused so I decided I better go home and find out if something happened.
‘I drove to the hospital, and sure enough, there they were. I would have never known. When I heard about it, I thought I was going to pass out.’
Miss Judd now says that Jackson is her miracle baby and wouldn’t change it for the world.

Good on her. I do not think I would have reacted so calmly.

I believe her. Although I was 32 and I kept losing weight every time I went to the doctor. I was sick morning, noon and night. I only gained 3 pounds and that was in the 9th month. My child weighed 8 pounds and was the smallest baby born that day.

I normally don’t believe these stories but if a grown woman runs over to a neighbors house with an umbilical cord placenta falling out……. I have to believe her
